Sign Project
A leader in the sign industry was seeking an alternate supplier for lettering elements. Current practice relied on a CNC router to cut individual letters from raw sheet, but this approach failed to produce sharply defined contours and edges. CIM Metals applied abrasive waterjet cutting technology to meet the customer’s requirement to create very crisp, tight details in the signage letters. The process enables treatment of plastic, steel, or stone without re-tooling while maintaining tolerances to +/- 0.0037”. Referencing CAD files supplied by the customer, we produced 22 letters in 0.25” thick aluminum within 48 hours.
